Two former teachers at a prestigious Bucks school have appeared in court to face further child sex charges.
Roland Peter Wright, 81, and 80-year-old Hugh Henry - both former teachers at Caldicott Preparatory School in Farnham Royal - faced new charges dating back nearly half a century when they appeared before Aylesbury magistrates.
Wright, the school's former headmaster, pleaded not guilty to four counts of indecent assault during the short hearing. He had denied further charges at another hearing at the same court in December, meaning in total he faces 12 counts of indecent assault and two of indecency with a child. Henry had eight fresh charges - seven of indecent assault and one of indecency with a child - put before him during this morning's hearing.
In total he faces 15 counts of indecent assault and three of indecency with a child - some of which relate to alleged offences committed while he was a teacher at Gayhurst School in Gerrards Cross. Both men are next due to appear before the courts on Friday March 30 when their case will be heard at Aylesbury Crown Court. Henry, of Pomeroy Close, Amersham, is expected to enter a plea on that occasion. Wright, of East Burnham End, Crown Lane, Farnham Royal, was given unconditional bail ahead of that hearing. Henry was given bail on condition he lives and sleeps each night at his home address, reports to Amersham police station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and does not apply for a passport.
The offences the men have been charged with are alleged to have taken place between 1959 and 1970 against 12 boys. If you have been subject to abuse then please contact us in the strictest of confidence.
