Willy Gillham - Palmerston House - Faces trial by jury for non recent child sex abuse offences

Willy John Gillham, 64, of Rue des Fours Ecoine, Deux-Sèvres, France, faces 15 counts of indecent assaults and other serious sexual offences against boys who were under the age of 16 during the 1980s in Hampshire.

The charges relate to alleged offences at the former Palmerston House children’s home on Botley Road, Romsey.

The investigation did not involve alleged offences at any other children’s homes or institutions.

The hearing follows a significant investigation conducted as part of Operation Marmion - Hampshire Constabulary's ongoing review of non-recent Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and abuse cases.
