St. Josephs School, Ashwicke Hall, Marshfield, Chippenham, Wiltshire UK

We seek to speak to any of those who attended St. Josephs School in hippenham in the mid to late 1960's which was run by Good Shepherd Nuns.

Allegations have been made against Fr Eugene Kennan K 'Passionate Priest'. priest of the Passionist Order, originally from Liverpool. He held high positions in the order, he had given retreats and counselled vulnerable girls over many decades, including those in care and approved schools such as St. Josephs School in the 1960s. He was able to abuse girls in whom he inspired devotion. It was, however, the sexual abuse of a former novice nun that first brought the abuse to light, after which many women came forward with their own testimonies of his sexual abuse. In 1982 shwicke Hall (by then St Joseph's School) was closed, and the core of the estate was sold to the International School of houeifat, who in the late 1980s extended the former Hall, and introduced further school buildings in the grounds. The park is in separate ownership. If you were subject to abuse or you know of a friend or relative who was please get in touh in the strictest of confidence. Charles Derham
