Verisona Law aims to work with staff, clients, professional contacts and suppliers to achieve profitable growth that is consistent being a sustainable business. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is about how we consider the interests of society and the impact of our activities on our clients, staff, community and the environment in all aspects of our operations.
We act as a trusted professional adviser and uphold the core values of the profession which include speaking the truth (verisona), independence, avoidance of conflict of interest and confidentiality. Clients place their trust in us to help them find solutions to their problems. We strive to be worthy of their trust by understanding and responding to all client needs. We communicate in electronic form whenever possible to reduce our use of paper.
We maintain best practice in our HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures, giving priority to personal development. The company is committed to equal opportunities and is flexible in relation to specific qualifications. We operate a transparent career development programme, offer a supportive environment within which each individual can develop their potential and encourage career progression. We provide a range of health related benefits and social activities for staff.
Verisona Law is a Portsmouth resident and through our active community work we aim to promote the overall reputation of the company. We provided the business support, legal representation and financial management needed by ‘Portsmouth Community Football Club’ (“PCFC”) a consortium including ‘Pompey Supporters Trust’, in order to take ownership of Portsmouth Football Club. We support the Citizens Advice Bureau which provides legal services to 30,000 of the poorest and most vulnerable people in our area each year. We do this by providing the Company Secretary pro bono, use of our office for meetings and raising funds, e.g. The Chichester Legal Walk.
We aim to reduce our impact on the environment by a series of measures suited to the nature of a law company. We reduce the use of natural resources wherever possible and operate a comprehensive recycling policy. We regularly review our electricity consumption. The environmental credentials of all our suppliers are a priority for us, especially when considering those from further afield. We maintain travel and expense policies which encourage the use of public transport, particularly for longer journeys.
